Can you mix a martini? I can't, unless I Google it ;-) I used to like vodka and orange juice, a concoction commonly called a screwdriver. Now I like to play it safe and usually have a glass of cabernet. What to do if you want to serve - or drink - something a little more complicated than wine and beer when you entertain? I came across a book written by an expert who can help you out! And teach me how to mix a drink without resorting to a search engine.

The last book I enjoyed reading was "Missionary Position: Mother Teresa in Theory and Practice" Controversial, but interesting nonetheless.

I usually fall back on the old-fashioned Gin & Tonic with lime. It was my grandmother's drink so I have chosen it for years for sentimental reasons. It goes down really nicely on warm summer evenings.
This doesn't mean that I'm not open to trying new drinks!!

I just read the most amazing book, Random Family. It was about individuals and their connected lives in the Bronx in the 80s and 90s and was a piece of reportage.
