Book Review: The Blackberry Diaries by Kathy Buckworth

Sunday, October 11, 2009 Posted by Dina N

The Blackberry Diaries is a hilarious account of one mom's first year with her BlackBerry Smartphone. It's actually more than that: the aptly chosen subtitle, Adventures in Modern Motherhood, is a very accurate description of what the book is about. The book is written as a diary, with an entry every few days. Kathy makes witty comparisons between having a Blackberry and having kids with a comic approach to social satire.

The Blackberry Diaries is an entertaining and insightful read about modern parenting that made me smile, chuckle, and laugh until my sides hurt. Kathy Buckworth's writing is funny, smart, and hits the nail on the head so many times, you lose count.

You don't have to be a Blackberry owner - or a parent - to enjoy Kathy's Diaries. She sounds like the good friend who makes you laugh. She is a mom of four, and the author of several parenting humor books. Read The Blackberry Diaries - then pass it along to your girlfriends!

Sounds hilarious. I don't have a blackberry but I know it would be technologically challenging for me to own and operate!
