Book Description
Victoria Ballard, a New York financial executive, is one woman who considers men to be an unnecessary bother and annoyance. With her career on track, she focuses on the adoption of four beautiful orphans, a crowning completion to her well-designed life-plan. But, life is a nasty trickster, and it’s about to spring one on her.

Under dire circumstances, Victoria's father secretly promises her in marriage to PRINCE RASHID DAVAR. What this Middle Eastern Ruler doesn't realize is, a Western woman is easier married than controlled. She may be his wife, but it will take a kidnapping, a battle of wills, and some desert heat of his own before he can claim her love.

Can two unyielding hearts bridge THE OCEAN BETWEEN them?

My Review
The Ocean Between is an unusual contemporary love story. An arranged marriage of a modern New York business woman with an Arabian prince is not something I read about very often. And when the bride's father is the one who tricks her into signing the paperwork, things get even more interesting! Sparks fly as the Arabian ruler tries to tame his new wife and teach her the rules and traditions of his country. She is not easy to subdue, and has decided to fight him and this marriage with all means available.

This story is part Arabian nights, part Manhattan high-rise. I enjoyed the Ms. Coker's colorful style and her depictions of exotic places, customs and culture. The Ocean Between is an entertaining read, full of surprising turns. Two people who at first seem light years apart turn out not to be that different, after all. Somewhere along the way, things between them change. Can they can overcome traditions, upbringing, and their own strong personalities? And at the end, is it too late for them to live happily ever after? Read the book to find out!
