The Spring Green #10: Dapple Baby Review

Thursday, March 25, 2010 Posted by Dina N

As a mom, I am very careful how I clean my kids' toys and furniture. Especially when they are young, everything that's on the toys ends up in their mouth. I am not comfortable using conventional bleach, and some toys cannot be immersed in water or thrown in the laundry.

Dapple Baby solves that problem for parents. They offer natural baby products such as toy cleaners and laundry detergentnatural cleaners, and eco-friendly dish products. I tried the toy cleaner spray and the travel-size toy cleaner wipes. Both products are phtalate-free, paraben-free, SLES- and dye-free, biodegradable, and certified to contain no detectable levels of dioxane. In addition, they are not tested on animals and fragranced with pure lavender essential oil.

The toy wipes are great for quick clean-up of toys that cannot be washed with soap and water, laundered, or need to be cleaned when you are on the go. The wipes are a generous size, thick and strong. I loved the gentle scent and the convenience. In case you are wondering, here is the list of ingredients: purified water, baking soda, cleaners derived from fruits, tree oils and glucose, French lavender essential oil, essential oil dispersant, alcohol (less than 2%), preservative derived from natural amino acid, biodegradable fabric.

The toy cleaner spray can be used to clean not just toys but high chairs, swings, car seats, strollers, and anything that you can spray and wipe. I was happy to recognize almost all ingredients: purified water, baking soda, cleaners made from fruits, tree oils and glucose, French lavender essential oil, essential oil dispersant, and preservative derived from natural amino acid. Baking soda is one of my favorite natural cleaners, and I know my kids' toys can be cleaned safely with Dapple.

Dapple products can be purchased on the company's site, or at select retailers.
