Back to School with EXPO NEON Markers: Review

Wednesday, August 04, 2010 Posted by Dina N

A couple of months ago, my kids and I tried the washable dry erase markers from EXPO. We love them, and the kids still use them to practice writing their letters and numbers on the board. This year, EXPO dry erase markers are also on my daughter's school supplies list.

I got to try the EXPO NEON markers, a set of three brilliant colors that came with a 8.5"x11" black dry erase board. The markers have low odor ink and a bullet tip. The three colors are yellow, orange, and pink, and stand out perfectly on the black board. The board itself can be mounted with magnetic strips or mounting tape - both included in the package. I chose to have the board on the inside of the door that leads to the garage. That way, I can scribble quick reminders to myself and see them as I leave the house - such as Buy Milk, School Open House Today, Dentist @ 3 p.m., or Get Wipes.

The board stays on securely with the strips, and can be used for whatever reminders you need - shopping, homework, bills, appointments. When you are done with a task, just erase it and move on. One thing I'd have liked is a marker holder on the side of the board. I got around that by using one of the mounting tape pieces that came with the set to mount the plastic that held the markers in the package on the door next to the board. It turned out perfectly, and now I have easy access to all three markers.

Whether you are going back to school, going back to the carpool line, or have appointments and a shopping list to remember on a regular basis, the EXPO NEON markers and board set are sure to come in handy. I've seen them at Target and Walgreens, and they are available at other retailers nationwide, as well.

I want some of those. I hope I see them the next time I am shopping for school supplies.
