David's Cookies: Review

Thursday, September 02, 2010 Posted by Dina N

When David's Cookies say their cookies are like homemade, they are not kidding.

I received a 1-lb. tin of Fresh Baked Cookies. The box contains about a dozen cookies of several assorted flavors: Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter, Macadamia and White Chips, Oatmeal Raisin, Cherry and Double Chocolate Chunk. They are very carefully packaged in a pretty red tin. The cookies contain no preservatives, so they are to be consumed within 48 hours or frozen. Let me tell you, there is no way these cookies can last more than a day at my house or see the inside of a freezer. They are truly "a bite above the rest".

I am an oatmeal raisin girl, so I went straight to it. This cookie was delicious! Just the right softness, and full of flavor. My husband likes chocolate chip cookies, so I was not surprised that the Chocolate Chunk was his top choice. If I were him, I would go with the double chocolate chunk - the more chocolate, the better in my book.

If someone had told me I would ever find a cookie to like as much as oatmeal raisin, I would have laughed in their face and reached over for two more oatmeal raisin cookies. However, after I tried the David's Cookies cherry variety, I am no longer sure about my favorites. It was amazing! Then I tasted the macadamia and white chips. Another excellent cookie that deserves to be on my top 3 list. Large pieces of white chocolate coupled with yummy macadamia nuts? Perfection!

My kids liked all flavors equally, I think - it's hard to tell because they were too busy inhaling the cookies. Besides, we do not encourage speaking with one's mouth full in my house.

David's Cookies would make a great gift, no matter what the occasion. Remember to get a box for yourself, too - and be warned: sharing will be very, very difficult.

Well, don't order their cakes. They foul up my order twice - who wants cakes with melted cream?
