Help a Classroom with Elmer's Virtual Bag It Forward!

Thursday, September 09, 2010 Posted by Dina N

I heard about Elmer's Virtual Bag It Forward from Khrys who blogs at Mom of 3 Dolls. It's an easy way to help a classroom get much needed school supplies! All you have to do is blog or post a note on Facebook following the rules below. Hurry, the event ends tomorrow, September 10, at midnight (11:59 pm) EST!

The Elmer’s Virtual Bag It Forward is charity blog meme. Bloggers who participate can raise $10 per blog post for Adopt-A-Classroom, donating a virtual bag of school supplies. Only one post per blog will be counted but you can pass it on to as many other bloggers as you wish. Elmer’s will donate $10 per each post written for Adopt-A-Classroom, up to $10,000.

As if helping a classroom is not a reason enough to do this, here is an extra incentive: all bloggers who post will have a chance to win one of two desktop computers. Leave your link over at Crafty Mama of 4 or Mamanista to enter.

I am sending a virtual bag to:

Broken Teepee
Grammy Janet's Place
Susan Heim on Parenting
Jolly Mom
Riding with No Hands

  • Copy and paste these rules into your blog post or Facebook note.
  • Create a post giving a “virtual bag of school supplies” to other bloggers or write about your Back to School shopping trip at Walmart.
  • Link back to the person who gave you a bag of school supplies.
  • Let each person you are giving a virtual bag of school supplies know you have given them a bag.
  • Leave your link in the Elmer’s Virtual Bag It Forward comment section. You can also find the official rules of this virtual #bagitforward program there.
  • Elmer’s is donating $10 for each blog participating in the Virtual Bag It Forward Donation to Adopt-A-Classroom (up to total of $10,000 for blog posts written by September 10, 2010).
  • Please note that only one blog post per blog url will count towards the donation.
Disclosure / Disclaimer: No monetary compensation was received for this post. I am sharing because I want to help a classroom get some needed school supplies.
