Organize Your Passwords and More with SplashID Key Safe: Review

Sunday, October 03, 2010 Posted by Dina N

I find it increasingly difficult to keep track of all my online passwords, account numbers, user names, and so on. I was delighted to find out about a new product that makes this tiresome chore easy: the SplashID Key Safe.

This clever little thing is a USB drive shaped like a key, with SplashID installed on it. For the past ten years, SplashID has helped people store and secure their private information such as passwords, account numbers, and so on. The Key Safe is very easy to use - all you do is insert it into the USB port of your PC and start entering all sorts of numbers, passwords, and logins that you need. The key is protected with a single password. Information is retrieved in the same way, and that can be done from any computer. When you're done, just remove the USB and no trace of your personal data is left on the machine.

The SplashID Key Safe lets me store birthdays and gift preferences of family and friends, bank and credit card account numbers, login ids and passwords, email accounts information, frequent flyer numbers, memberships, PINs, and much more. No more forgetting and having to reset passwords, or digging around for the number of that rarely used customer loyalty card. In addition, there is 2 GB of storage space.

The SplashID Key Safe retails for $29.95, and would make a great gift for friends, family, and business contacts.
