Artisan Bakeware from Emerson Creek Pottery: Review

Sunday, December 12, 2010 Posted by Dina N

I fell in love with Emerson Creek Pottery as soon as I saw their bakeware online. A complete line of handcrafted artisan bakeware with beautiful designs, and 100% lead-free - what's not to love?

I received the Small Loaf Pan, and could not be happier with the loaf I baked in it. The pan is unglazed but very pretty and well-made, microwave-safe and easy to wash. I love the traditional look of the pan, too. I greased it a little with olive oil, and my only regret is I do not have a dozen of these pans because it's small - 3" by 5". Emerson Creek Pottery also offer unglazed oval baking dishes, unglazed large loaf pans, unglazed pie plates, and unglazed bread pots, all handpainted with their original Creeping Thyme pattern. Their unglazed pottery is affordable and with proper care will probably last a long time. I'd love to have their entire bakeware collection.

Now I am craving other beautiful items from Emerson Creek Pottery - just how pretty is the Iris Dinner Set? Or the pasta bowls, the frilly ceramic fruit bowls, and the classic ceramic mugs? They even have bathroom accessories, tea sets, vases, candle holders and lamps. Any of these wonderful pieces would make a nice addition to your home, or a cherished gift.
