Peeled Snacks are dried fruit snacks that come in convenient single- or multi-serve packs. They are USDA certified organic and contain just fruit with no sugar or preservatives added.
We tried the Cherry-Go-Round (dried cherries), the Apple-2-the-Core (dried apples), and the Farmer's Market Trio (dried raisins, apples and cherries). The first two contain one serving of fruit each, and the trio has about three servings. My favorite among the three are the cherries - soft and tasty, not too dry. The raisins were my daughter's favorite. They were quite good although I did not notice much difference compared to other decent brands I've tried. Finally, the apples are soft and chewy - flavorful but the texture needs some getting used to at my house.
Each serving of Peeled Snacks contains 3-4 grams of fiber and 110-130 calories. They are a good thing to have in your purse or backpack for snacking emergencies. Dried fruit is quite sweet, too, so the Peeled Snacks can satisfy a sweet craving without sugar. Since I try to buy organic produce whenever possible, the fact that these snacks are organic is a big plus in my book. Even though the single-serve packs are intended to be consumed in one sitting, I'd suggest resealable bags - like the one of the Farmer's Market Trio.
Peeled Snacks are available online and at Starbucks locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. You can connect with the company on Facebook and Twitter (@PeeledSnacks).
