Allergy Pillow #Review

Saturday, May 07, 2011 Posted by Dina N

I've always needed a good night's sleep to start my day off right. It's even more important now that I am a parent and need to keep up with my kids' endless energy. A good, comfortable pillow is a must for me to get quality shuteye.

If you are struggling with springtime allergies, you might find you sleep better when using bedding for allergies. I tried out a very nice allergy pillow from AllergyGuardDirect.com.This super soft pillow is made with a shell using the certified 100% cotton Allersoft. The fabric has a mean flow pore size diameter of 5 microns. If you are like me and had no idea what that means, the outside of the pillow provides an effective barrier against allergens such as pet dander, dust mites, and bed bugs.

We have no issues with pet dander or bed bugs but it's nice to know that the much tighter weave and higher thread count make the pillow more durable. The fabric is wonderfully cool to the touch, and the filling springs back up as soon as my head leaves the pillow. Not that I want to do that very much since it's so utterly comfortable. The cover is sewn with a "safety" double stitch and the pillow is latex free and machine washable. Last but not least, the filling is made from hypoallergenic polyfiber with no added chemicals.

Personally, I like my pillows a bit firmer, so I just might share this wonderful sleep-inducing device with my husband. Or not - this pillow is just too comfy and needs to be appreciated. It's still up in the air who gets to use it but one thing is certain - whoever does will be getting a good snooze.

The allergy pillow comes in three sizes: standard, queen and king, and is priced just right between $15.95 and $19.95. Of course, a good night's sleep is priceless. Night-night!
