Newtons Fruit Thins #Review

Wednesday, May 25, 2011 Posted by Dina N

My husband loves Fig Newtons. For someone who lacks a sweet tooth, that's saying a lot. I am also partial to these goodies. But now - move over, figs: the new Newtons Fruit Thins are my latest favorite.

Newtons Fruit Thins are thin crispy cookies baked with fruit. They come in four varieties: Cranberry Citrus Oat, Blueberry Brown Sugar, Chocolate Raspberry and Fig and Honey. Thanks to the One2One Network, I got to try the Blueberry Brown Sugar ones. They are fruity, crispy, flavorful and addictive. A serving is about 3 cookies and just 140 calories, with 2 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein. One package contains about 32 cookies - I counted! With 8 grams of whole grain, these tasty treats are climbing the charts in my house - we like delicious but we also like healthy.

My kids loved the Newtons Fruit Thins with a glass of milk, and I enjoyed mine with a latte. Mmmmm! Now we are looking forward to tasting the other three flavors.

Well, you know I am missing that sweet tooth but I LOVE figs! I think Lily and Adam would like these. I'll look for them.

I adore Fig Newtons, so I'm afraid that I won't like the Fruit Newtons as much...but I could give them a try. Thanks for the review!
