This year, Del Monte is helping encourage healthy eating in the classroom for the second time with its annual online contest, “Teacher Monday: Cash for Classrooms.” The program awards cash and fresh fruit to kindergarten through 12th grade school teachers to make it easier to include the healthy living message in classroom activities.

Voting for your favorite teachers starts today, September 26! Each Monday, for six consecutive weeks, the ten teachers with the most votes will win $1000 in cash for classroom supplies and fresh fruit for healthy school snacks. The top teacher each week with the most votes will also win a Del Monte Field Fresh Day, in which Del Monte Fresh Produce will treat their entire school to an afternoon of fresh fruit, games and prizes.

Parents can register to vote once per day for as many teachers as they like. Urge your favorite teachers to register, and your friends and family to vote for them so they can win.
