Celebrate National Noodle Day with P.F. Chang's Home Menu: #Review

Thursday, October 06, 2011 Posted by Dina N

Today is National Noodle Day! My family celebrated a week early with P.F. Chang’s. And we did not even have to leave the house! Because P.F. Chang's Home Menu just introduced some new frozen noodle entrées. We tried two of them, and they are the best noodles I've ever had outside of a restaurant. These dishes put other frozen meals to shame.

The P.F. Chang’s Home Menu noodle meals took less than 15 minutes to prepare. I tried both cooking methods - stove top and microwave - and they turned out equally delicious. There are noodles, of course, plus yummy sauce, chunks of meat, and veggies. Each package has 2 servings. My family inhaled every bite and asked for more! It's good I had some steamed veggies as a side dish, just in case.

The P.F. Chang’s Home Menu noodle meals are available in five varieties::

  • Garlic Chicken with Dan Dan Noodles – also has garlic sauce, bell peppers, and bok choy
  • Pepper Steak with Chow Fun Noodles – with sweet and peppery sauce, bell peppers, and onions
  • Grilled Chicken Teriyaki with Lo Mein Noodles – with teriyaki sauce, pineapple, red bell peppers, and onions
  • Shrimp Lo Mein
  • Firecracker Shrimp with Yakisoba Noodles – with spicy sauce, carrots, edamame, and onions.

So far, I've had the Garlic Chicken with Dan Dan Noodles and the Pepper Steak with Chow Fun Noodles. Both are flavorful, tasty, and new family favorites at my house. They are perfect for a quick meal, especially on busy weeknights. I found all varieties in the frozen foods aisle of my grocery store. At close to $9 each, they are a little pricier than most frozen meals but oh so worth it. Restaurant quality meal for under $5 per person? Pass the noodles, please.

Make sure to visit the P.F. Chang’s Facebook page for their National Noodle Day Sweepstakes. You can enter to win VIP noodle tasting kits, chef-quality skillets, $3 off coupons, and a grand prize trip for two to Las Vegas.

We do not have P.F. Chang’s in our town, and I've never actually been to one of their restaurants. These meals would be a great way to try the P.F. Chang’s dishes!
