In the second book of the Life of Shouty series, Shouty goes from overweight and overwhelmed to fit and focused. Life of Shouty: Food & Fitness promotes a healthy, active lifestyle and reminds us it's never too late to start making changes.
Life of Shouty: Food & Fitness is the second book in the Shouty series. Just as the first book, Life of Shouty: Good Habits, it aims to promote good habits in children. Focused on the downsides of junk snacks and inactivity and the benefits of exercise and healthy food, the book is written in rhymes and features simple pop-art illustrations.
Despite its good intentions, Life of Shouty: Food & Fitness is unlikely to inspire exercise and healthy eating. Shouty reminds me of a bald, pear-shaped Mr. Potato Head. The rhymes sound corny and contrived. I just could not get into the Shouty groove, and neither could my kids.
Life of Shouty: Food & Fitness by NeonSeon is new this month from Rixkin.
