Holiday Gift Guide 2011: The Ultimate Little Cocktail Book #Giveaway

Wednesday, December 07, 2011 Posted by Dina N

It's the season for parties, and some of you may be taking up the role of bartender. The Ultimate Little Cocktail Book takes the mystery out of mixed drinks, thanks to its easy to follow directions and straight to the point recipes. The author, Ray Foley, has more than 30 years of experience in bartending - so he knows what he's talking about.

Mr. Foley's book may look little - yet, it packs a lot of cocktail recipes. I have not counted but there must be over 1,000 mixed drinks listed in The Ultimate Little Cocktail Book. The recipes are arranged by type of alcohol and grouped in 15 chapters: from aperitifs and vermouths to bitters, creams, gin, Irish whiskey, martini, rums, scotch, vodka and more. There is an alphabetized drink index and an alcohol index that make it easy to find specific recipes.

Here are some cocktails from the book that are perfect for holiday entertaining:

Bionic Turkey
Hot Apple Cobbler
Rudolph’s Nose
Candy Cane Caipirinha
Black Eye P
Champagne Fizz

The Ultimate Little Cocktail Book by Ray Foley is great to have at home if you enjoy tasting - or serving - a cocktail now and then. It would make a great gift for those who love playing the bartender, too! Please use responsibly.
