Celtic Woman Believe CD and DVD Review

Sunday, February 26, 2012 Posted by Dina N

Celtic Woman is an amazing all-female singing group featuring three vocalists and one violinist. I am in love with their music! Some songs make me tap my foot and others give me goosebumps. If you are not familiar with the group, they perform classic Irish songs, pop classics, and inspirational songs with a signature Celtic Woman twist. In September, their live concert at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta was filmed for the first time in America.

I did not get to see the live show but I watched the DVD. Celtic Woman does not just make great music - the quartet puts up one heck of a show, too. The DVD came out last month, along with their new album, Believe. I've been listening to the Believe CD every day in my car. My kids love it, too. And the DVD? Celtic Woman are a wonder in concert - the music, the lights, the dresses, everything comes together perfectly.

The singing is breath-taking, of course. Their violinist is like a little sprite, playing and dancing as if she walks on air. She is absolutely amazing in The Foxhunter, electrifying the crowd and getting a much-deserved standing ovation.

You can find the CD and DVD on Amazon. Get them for yourself, and grab a couple of extras for friends and family. This is one show you don't want to miss.

I just got this album yesterday, and it's OK. I wish there was more of just the head girls singing. There is just too much chorus. All in all, it is still worth buying.

I have never heard of this before. I had envisioned one woman singing (due to the name Celtic WomAn as opposed to WomEn). I think the upbeat songs would be great for the kids. I watched the video you linked and it looks like something I would enjoy :)

It's too late for me to get this for St. Patrick's day, but I bet we would enjoy it all year. Thanks for the review and giveaway!
