Moving Internationally? Hire Professionals!

Moving a household is hard work. Imagine how much more complicated it becomes if you are relocating overseas. It's not just about the extra couple of thousand miles. There are additional expenses, regulations, and paperwork to consider. A close friend of mine moved to Europe a few years ago because of her job. Her advice? Hire international movers.

Luckily, there are companies that specialize in international moving. Their overseas moving specialists can help you with everything from international corporate relocation to shipping your car to another country to customs, insurance, storage, and inland transportation. If the idea of international shipping makes you break out in hives, you should look for professionals who know what they are doing.

Shortly after my friend moved to Europe, I had to mail some paperwork to her. I paid about $30 to send a few sheets of paper via express mail. Expected delivery time was 3-5 business days. She needed the papers within a couple of weeks, so I figured it was a safe bet. Imagine my surprise and her upset when, two weeks later, the envelope came back... from Africa. The postal service sent it to a completely different country! The only thing in common was that the name of that country started with the same letter. Just envision having to ship the entire contents of your home: your prized collection of books, your children's toys and clothing, Grandma's irreplaceable china...

If your family or someone you know needs overseas moving, check out InternationalMoving.com. They are a BBB accredited business  providing overseas relocation services to and from the U.S.A. and any country in the world. The company is licensed and bonded by the Federal Maritime Commission and belongs to several international relocation organizations. Free international moving quotes are available on their website.
