Annie's Organic Rising Crust Pizza: Review and #Giveaway {3 Winners}
My kids love Annie's Organic Fruit Snacks. These days, that's their favorite sweet treat. We've also enjoyed Annie's Mac & Cheese on occasion. Of course, Annie's is more than just pasta and snacks. The company offers cereal, dressings and oils, BBQ sauce and condiments, and more. Now, you can even get Annie's frozen pizza!
Annie's Organic Rising Crust Pizza measures 11.5 inches in diameter and contains 8g whole grains per serving. The pizzas are generously topped with cheese made with milk from rBST-free cows. The veggies are organic, and the meats contain no added nitrates or nitrites. Annie's pizza come in four flavors: Uncured Pepperoni, Four Cheese, Supreme, and Spinach & Mushroom.
Right now, Annie's Organic Rising Crust Pizza can be found in the freezer aisle of Whole Foods. At my closest store, I found all four varieties of Annie's pizza. I was torn between the Four Cheese, a favorite of my kids, and the veggilicious Spinach & Mushroom. Finally, the veggies won. We took the pizza home and baked it for a quick dinner. The pizza was delicious, with perfect crust, and just the right amount of toppings. There's spinach and two types of mushrooms: portobello and button, topped with yummy garlic parmesan cream sauce. My family enjoyed it with a side salad. It was one of the best frozen pizzas we've ever tried. To me, it is comparable to good takeout pizza. It's ready in less than half an hour, you don't need to wait for the pizza delivery guy or drive out to pick it up - it's right there in your freezer. Plus, Annie's pizza is organic - a big plus in my book.
Annie's Organic Rising Crust Pizza is a tad pricier than other frozen pizzas I've tried but to me, it's totally worth it. I'd like to see it in other grocery stores besides Whole Foods, and maybe try Annie's pizza with a whole wheat crust - and try all the flavors, of course.
Connect with Annie's on Facebook, Twitter (@annieshomegrown) or Pinterest.
