Romance Review and Give Away: Woodrose Mountain by RaeAnne Thayne
Book Description
Evie Blanchard was at the top of her field in the city of angels. But when an emotional year forces her to walk away from her job as a physical therapist, she moves from Los Angeles to Hope's Crossing seeking a quieter life. So the last thing she needs is to get involved with the handsome, arrogant Brodie Thorne and his injured daughter, Taryn.
A self-made man and single dad, Brodie will do anything to get Taryn the rehabilitation she needs…even if it means convincing Evie to move in with them. And despite her vow to keep an emotional distance, Evie can't help but be moved by Taryn's spirit, or Brodie's determination to win her help—and her heart. With laughter, courage and more than a little help from the kindhearted people of Hope's Crossing, Taryn may get the healing she deserves—and Evie and Brodie might just find a love they never knew could exist.
My Thoughts
Woodrose Mountain is a lovely contemporary romance set in the picturesque little town of Hope's Crossing. Evie, a former physical therapist, has fled big city life and abandoned her career to escape a traumatic experience. She has decided to never go back to practicing - until one very determined man discovers Evie is the best chance of recovery for his teenage daughter. Unwillingly, Evie takes on the challenge - despite her reservations and her personal pain. Evie is as kind as she is strong, and she sets her private agony aside to help the injured teen recover. In the process, she finds out that behind the rough exterior, Taryn's father is a generous soul that may be just the man to help heal her own wounds.
RaeAnne Thayne has penned a tender, sweet romance novel with memorable characters and beautiful setting. Woodrose Mountain (Hope's Crossing)
is new from Harlequin.
