aside from military, we have volunteer fire fighters and volunteer rescue squad people in our community. They respond 24/7 for our benefit and there is no paycheck to reimburse them. I totally think they qualify as heroes!

hubby is a FF and paramedic so he's been a hero to hundreds of people during his career. I love hearing his stories about saving lives and helping people

I do know heroes. My cousins have served in Afghanistan, Iraq and Desert storm, My granddad served in Vietnam.

Our daughter has Down Syndrome and is non verbal. Our hero is her teacher from last year who taught Bethany how to use an i-pad. Now she can communicate with people.

I agree with the previous poster librarians are definitely every day heroes inspiring the gift of literacy and education is always a great thing to me too!
As for an everyday hero I would say my best friend is mine we've been through a lot together!

I consider my dad an everyday hero hes the type to help anyone in need be it family ,friend, or stranger Ive seen him stop to help people broken down on the side of the road its just his nature.

I think many teachers are everyday heros. Many of them are supporting at least one child in their classroom by providing food and/or money.

I think all of the volunteers in this country are heroes. People who volunteer at animal shelters, food pantries, hospitals, etc.
