Iced Drinks at Home With @Keurig @BrewOverIce: Review and Prize Pack #Giveaway #spon

Sunday, August 18, 2013 Posted by Dina N

I love a good cup of coffee. My day just does not start right without a couple of lattes! As much as I can't live without 'em, this time of year could be just too balmy for hot drinks. Keurig offers a nice way to cool off a bit with their new Brew Over Ice products.

I received a few free Brew Over Ice goodies to enjoy an iced drink at home: a cute Brew Over Ice tumbler, four Brew Over Ice coasters, and a Brew Over Ice light-up ice bucket with ice tongs. And, of course, three Brew Over Ice K-Cup® samples to try. The first one I wanted to taste was the Vitamin Burst Strawberry Pomegranate Iced Fruit Brew. I filled the tumbler with ice and positioned it on the drip tray. The tumbler is just the right size to fit in my K75 Platinum Keurig. A touch of a button later, and voila - a refreshing iced drink. I did not use the cool light-up ice bucket or tongs, since my ice cubes go straight from freezer into tumbler, but it would be great to have on hand for entertaining. The Vitamin Burst tastes nice but it is a tad too sweet for me. I don't take sugar in my tea or coffee, so it's just a matter of personal preference. I would not mind trying an unsweetened version.

The Sweet & Creamy Iced Coffee is a medium roast from The Original Donut Shop. Just as all Keurig drinks, it was a snap to make. I love the convenience of preparing an iced drink at home and just grabbing it to go, especially on a hot day. It saves me time and aggravation - no more waiting in an endless line at the coffee shop!

The Snapple Peach Iced Tea was my favorite among the three samples. Very peachy and tasty, although again a tad too sweet for my taste. If you like your iced tea sweet, that's the drink for you. Personally, I'd take the unsweetened iced tea if they make it.

My favorite iced drink is plain old iced tea. I also like raspberry and peach flavored iced tea. Of course, a good margarita once or twice a year is also on my list.

We drink iced tea year round. And we really prefer the basics, like plain black tea or English Breakfast tea, but I also like Peach iced tea.
