GeoPuzzle World #Giveaway

Tuesday, January 07, 2014 Posted by Dina N

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
My kids love puzzles. We have a stack of them under the coffee table, and we add to the collection every year. Putting together a puzzle is a fun family activity, the kiddos have a blast, and I am sure I don't need to list how many skills are honed in the process (shhh! It's a mommy secret). When the kids outgrow a puzzle and it stops being challenging, we donate it or pass it on to younger friends or family members.

The GeoPuzzle World is a puzzle we will be keeping for a while. As the name suggests, it's a world map - in a puzzle. The pieces are made of good quality cardboard and the colors are nice and vivid. The puzzle is jumbo-sized and measures 24 x 12.5 inches when completed. Although the recommended age is 4+, this puzzle can be fun and educational even for adults. Unlike most other puzzles we own where the pieces are cut approximately the same size, the GeoPuzzle World includes both smaller and bigger pieces. A large country may be a single piece - such as China, Australia, and Brazil. Or, it could consist of multiple pieces - such as Russia, Canada, and the U.S. Many pieces are cut to roughly trace the borders of a country rather than represent just another random puzzle piece - hence pieces of various shapes and sizes. There are 68 pieces altogether, including some that are quite tricky to place if you have not brushed up on your world geography lately.

Last but not least, the GeoPuzzle World is made in the USA from recycled materials. You can find it at the GeoToys Store and on Amazon, along with other educational GeoPuzzle puzzles that I'd gladly add to our collection. Check out the GeoPuzzles Complete Set with 6 jigsaw puzzles, and the very fun-looking GeoPuzzle Animals. I just love puzzles - can you tell?

Parker Brothers puts out a number of Clue mystery jigsaw puzzles that I love. One reads a short story about a crime, puts together the puzzle, and then uses the puzzle (showing the crime scene) to solve the crime. These puzzles are loads of fun!

I don't have a favorite, I haven't done an adult size puzzle in a few years. I use to do them with my mom and sister a lot though! My 4 year old son really enjoys puzzles.
