Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops {Review} #ad

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
It's the season of colds, and almost everyone in my family has had a cough or two. The kind of lingering cough that seems to last for weeks rather than days is hard to bear. A few weeks ago, we actually ran out of cough drops - even though I make sure to replenish my stash every fall.

My husband and I are not very picky about what flavor of cough drops to take but my daughter is. She absolutely refuses to have anything with menthol, honey, or licorice. She does not like most of the fruity flavors either. Last winter, we finally found cough drops she loved: the cherry Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops. This brand has been around for over 140 years but I had not heard of them until I got some for review.

Most cough drops I've tried are the size and texture of hard candy. These throat drops are small, softish, and taste delicious. I don't have to work hard to convince my child to take one. Actually, I have to make sure she does not take too many! The drops are safe for children over 3 and each is just 5 calories.

The Pine Bros. throat drops are made in America.  They are available in plastic puck boxes and larger bags for refill. The pucks are ideal for your purse, backpack, or glove compartment. One puck holds about two dozen throat drops, and the value size refill packs hold 32. I wish they were resealable - my kids tend to tear them open all the way. I keep the open refill packs closed with bag clips or just move the drops to a Ziploc bag.

My kids love the Wild Cherry flavor. My favorite are the Natural Honey drops. Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops are also offered in licorice. A new flavor,  Lemon Citrus, will be available in 2015-2016.

Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops are sold online and in drugstores nationwide. Connect with the Pine Brothers on Facebook and Twitter (@pinebros).

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I've not heard of this brand of cough drops either. They sound like they would work well, since they taste good.

Good to see that Pine Bros., who always made candy-like cough drops before, is making something healthier and that, perhaps, works better for coughing!

I like the cherry ones myself! And so does my husband.

I love that these are "softish" and tasty...they sound like my kind of cough drops! Licorice would probably be my favorite flavor, though they all sound good. Thanks for the review!

I tried these, and they were much better than cough drops I have used in the past. Thanks again!
