Dirt Stopper Chart Topper Sweepstakes and $25 Walmart GC #Giveaway

Monday, August 04, 2014 Posted by Dina N

Do you listen to music while cleaning the house? I crank up something energetic on the iPod and pretend house cleaning is a dancing / working out routine. I round up the kids, too - they love helping out while singing along and teaching their mom some new dance moves. Doing chores = fun family time. Who knew?

The folks from the Stain Fighting Community agree: cleaning can seem like a daunting task, but with the help of some fave songs, it doesn’t have to be! Right now, Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 2000 Flushes Toilet Bowl Cleaner, X-14 Mildew Stain Remover and Carpet Fresh Odor Eliminator are hosting the Dirt Stopper Chart Topper Facebook sweepstakes. They are curious to find out what people listen to when they clean. What gets you in the mood to clean your home? Pop, rock, classical? Those who share their cleaning playlist through the sweepstakes will have a chance to win a grand prize that includes an iRobot Roomba vacuum, Bluetooth-enabled speakers, an iPod touch, cleaning supplies and more. Enter once per day by August 18, 2014. Each week, five randomly selected entrants will receive Spot Shot and 2000 Flushes products.

Well, I cheat and use a cleaning lady! However, I'm obsessed about having a clean kitchen, so I just do a little every day and keep up with it.

I like to clean with either music or television on in the background which makes it go by a lot quicker and my family pitches in often as well.

I use my love for reading as an incentive. For each thing I clean I get to read a chapter. win/win!

I try to get family members to help with cleaning the house. There are certain things I really hate doing, so I try to provide incentives to get others to do those for me!

I try to make it less of a chore by doing a little bit each day. I try not to let the housework build up so that i don't feel overwhelmed to do it. I'll usually take one of my days off and clean the best that i can so that i can enjoy my other day off later in the week.

I try to do a little bit each day, so that on the weekends I don't have to spend all day cleaning. When I am cleaning I listen to music to make it a little bit less painful. It does help, especially playing upbeat songs.

I do 30 minutes of housecleaning than take a break for 15 minutes. That's my reward to keep going.

I try to clean as I go on most stuff such as doing the dishes as I cook. I also follow flylady and that seems to help me keep on top of it all.

I break it up into one or two songs' worth and work away as fast as possible and see what I can done.

I have the music going loud...that helps motivate me. Also, I try to do it in parts and break it up, that way it doesn't get so monotonous and dull that I get discouraged and stop what I'm doing.

Music is a great distraction from the task at hand. But if you try to do a little bit each day it makes the task not so bad. :)

Setting a timer always helps me. I also like to play good music while I'm cleaning. When you leave a room take two things with you that don't belong in that room, that really helps cut down on clutter.
